Vice President of Human Resources
Michael P. Dragun, SPHR MA is Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Safety Officer. He is a Certified Senior Professional of Human Resource Management, and is responsible for all areas of Human Resources and HR Internal Consulting. Michael is actively engaged in the process of aligning New World Aviation’s Human Resource practices, Safety Management System and Business Strategies to meet changing industry demands and make NWA an employer of choice in the Aviation Charter, Maintenance and Managed Aircraft Industry. He is also concurrently serving as an active member of Rutgers School of Labor and Management Relations’ State Advisory Committee which helps set the strategy for the School’s future.
Prior to joining New World Aviation, Michael worked in Human Resource Management as an HR Manager, and as a Safety Director, spending seven years at Harsco Corporation, a Fortune 300 firm, where he handled HR and Labor Relations for five locations. Additionally he was employed as an Extension Programs Specialist for Rutgers University’s Center for Management Development where he designed several profitable training programs for various public and private sector companies.
Michael received his Masters Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Rutgers in 1996 and his Undergraduate Degree in Labor Studies/Employment Relations from Rutgers University in 1994, graduating with Highest Honors. He is also a trained Mediator through the NJ County Court System. Michael volunteers his time as a Soccer Coordinator/Coach in his hometown in NJ and as a USA Hockey Certified Ice Hockey Coach in Bethlehem, PA.
